Background

Harsh Inder Loomba’s extensive travels and time spent living abroad have profoundly influenced her artistic vision, enriching both her technique and philosophical approach to art.
She travelled alone from Baghdad, Iraq to Delhi, India for the first time at the age of five. Schooling was at New Delhi. After one year stint at Chandigarh, her formative years in Moscow exposed her to classical European and Russian artistic traditions, which played a crucial role in shaping her foundation in realism and composition. The rigorous training she received instilled in her a disciplined approach to art, while the cultural exchange broadened her perspective on artistic expression.
Traveling across diverse landscapes and experiencing different cultures during her college years to various European countries allowed Harsh to absorb a variety of artistic influences, from traditional Indian aesthetics to European abstraction and Russian mysticism. Her exposure to varied artistic movements helped her develop a unique style that seamlessly blends realism with abstraction.
Living in different countries also deepened her philosophical understanding of art. She became increasingly drawn to metaphysical themes, using her art to explore universal human experiences, spiritual growth, and our connection to the cosmos. The influence of Eastern and Western ideologies is evident in her work, particularly in her symbolic use of circles, spirals, and architectural elements like windows and stairs—representing transitions, self-discovery, and the infinite cycle of existence.
Moreover, engaging with international artists, scholars, and institutions has provided her with valuable insights into contemporary art trends and methodologies. Her participation in global exhibitions, workshops, and seminars has not only expanded her technical repertoire but also positioned her as a bridge between Indian and global art traditions.
Ultimately, Harsh’s travels have enabled her to create art that transcends cultural boundaries. Her work is a synthesis of global influences, infused with a deep spiritual and philosophical essence, making it both personal and universally resonant.
Creative Process
Harsh Inder Loomba’s creative process is deeply rooted in the interplay of vibrations, frequencies, quantum entanglement theory, and the Fibonacci sequence, resulting in an artistic expression that bridges science, spirituality, and aesthetics. The influence of science comes from her soulmate Deepak Loomba, who was a Scientist, Technopreneur, Author with numerous patents to his credit.
Harsh perceives painting as a transmission of energy, where colors, forms, and textures emit specific vibrations and frequencies that interact with the viewer’s consciousness. Each brushstroke carries an intentional resonance, much like musical notes in a symphony. This aligns with the idea that everything in the universe vibrates at a certain frequency, influencing perception, emotions, and even physical states. By intuitively orchestrating her compositions, Harsh creates artworks that are not just visual experiences but vibrational fields that impact the observer on a subconscious level.
Quantum entanglement theory suggests that two particles can be intrinsically connected, regardless of distance, influencing each other instantaneously. Harsh integrates this concept into her work by portraying the interconnectedness of all things—matter, space, time, and consciousness. Her signature symbols, such as circles, spirals, and geometric transitions, reflect the invisible bonds between individuals, nature, and the universe. She paints not just with color but with the intention of creating an unseen yet felt connection between her art and the viewer, reinforcing the idea that observation itself is a form of participation in the creative process.
The Fibonacci sequence, a mathematical pattern found in nature, governs the proportions and movement in Harsh’s compositions automatically. This sequence appears in the spirals of galaxies, seashells, and even human DNA, symbolizing organic growth and the harmony of creation. Harsh subconsciously integrates these natural mathematical structures into her paintings, ensuring a balanced and intuitive flow. The spirals in her work, for example, mirror the Fibonacci spiral, signifying the infinite cycle of existence, spiritual evolution, and the unfolding of higher consciousness.
Harsh begins her paintings with chaotic, bold strokes—akin to the primordial state of the universe before structure emerges. As she layers her work, order gradually takes form, much like how Fibonacci sequences bring structure to natural growth. Her process mirrors the cosmic dance of energy, randomness, and synchronization, where elements find their place in a grander, unseen pattern.
By combining these scientific and metaphysical principles, Harsh Inder Loomba’s art becomes a conduit for exploring the deeper realities of existence. Her works are not just visual compositions but vibrational fields that interact with the observer’s consciousness, inviting them into a dialogue between the seen and the unseen, the finite and the infinite.
